A little about Janet and Peter.
Peter and Janet your hosts have lived in the Bay of Plenty for twenty years and enjoy sharing their local knowledge and directing you to places of interest.
Peter is retired after working in the banking industry for many years. He loves rugby, fishing from his boat, fly fishing, whitebaiting and sport on TV.
Janet is into her seventh year as a radio operator for the local Coastguard Whakatane and is happy to show you around the Coastguard Headquarters. Janet also plays Bridge, has run marathons (but now walks) and surfcasts off the beach.
Both enjoy the outdoors, travelling and look forward to having friends and family around, firing up the barbeque, having lots of fun, laughter and good conversation.
You are welcomed by your friendly hosts over a cup of tea or coffee served on arrival in the conservatory.
Janet and Peter are happy to arrange bookings for tours around Whakatane and the Bay of Plenty and ongoing accommodation.

How to find us.
- Follow the (i) signs to Whakatane Info Site.
- Go to the hill end of George Street opposite the Info Site.
- At the end of George St, turn right and go uphill into Hillcrest Road.
- Take first turn right into Waiewe Street and go to the end - 1 km.
- At end of Waiewe St, turn left into Crestwood Rise (Private Road. We are at number 2.)
